The Grand Sierra Resort, a prominent and vibrant hospitality establishment, is renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences in its expansive casino, hotel, and entertainment complex. Situated in a bustling location, the resort combines luxury accommodations, top-tier dining options, and a vibrant entertainment atmosphere to attract a diverse clientele ranging from tourists to business travelers. Grand Sierra prides itself on providing a welcoming environment where customer satisfaction and quality service directly reflect the brand's dedication to excellence in hospitality and guest engagement. Within this dynamic setting, the Food and Beverage team plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall guest experience by offering a variety of refreshing and delicious options that cater to the needs of visitors at all hours. The Grand Sierra is seeking energetic and customer-focused individuals to join their Food and Beverage team in the role of a part-time Barista. The Barista position is a critical frontline role responsible for delivering exceptional coffee service that aligns with the resort's standards of warm, accommodating, and professional interactions. The successful candidate will not only serve a variety of expertly brewed coffee drinks but also educate guests on coffee selections and promote the purchase of coffee-related equipment and supplies. This role goes beyond simply preparing beverages; it requires a passion for coffee culture, customer engagement skills, and the ability to maintain an inviting coffee bar atmosphere. The role involves preparing and serving a diverse range of coffee drinks such as espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino, following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques to ensure consistent quality. In addition to beverage preparation, the Barista will handle cashiering duties, manage inventory by replenishing coffee beans and supplies, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area. The position demands flexibility with shift schedules, including holidays, nights, and weekends, to meet business needs and support the resort's 24/7 activity. The Barista also contributes to maintaining the high standards of the Grand Sierra Resort by adhering to all organizational, safety, and sanitation protocols. Furthermore, the role is physically engaging, requiring stamina to work in a fast-paced, often noisy, casino environment that includes exposure to smoke and varying temperatures in storage and service areas. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, time management, problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset to thrive in this collaborative and guest-centric environment. The Grand Sierra Resort offers this opportunity to individuals who are at least 16 years old and who share the commitment to delivering superior service and fostering a positive workplace.
