The role of a Senior Events Manager at CBRE is a critical leadership position within the Workplace Experience function, responsible for managing a sizable team across multiple sites. This role focuses on orchestrating meetings, events, and conference services, ensuring world-class customer service in a hospitality-forward atmosphere that makes clients and visitors feel welcomed and valued. The Senior Events Manager will lead a high-performing team, encourage continuous improvement, and foster a culture that prioritizes seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
This position involves comprehensive oversight of corporate events, including client-facing, employee-facing, and executive meetings. Duties include managing all logistical aspects such as security, facilities, catering, IT, and audiovisual coordination. The Senior Events Manager will be accountable for maintaining compliance with policies and training requirements, driving cross-functional initiatives, and aligning multi-site objectives with regional goals. They will act as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders while supervising staff, conducting performance evaluations, and leading recruitment efforts. Budget management and purchase order approvals are a vital aspect of the role, alongside implementing process improvements to elevate event success.
Candidates for this position should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 5 to 8 years in event management or related fields. Strong leadership capabilities are essential to empower teams to meet broad operational targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as advanced organizational skills and intermediate mathematics capabilities, are required to manage the complexities of event logistics and budgeting accurately.
The salary range for this role is competitive, between $117,000 and $135,000 annually, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses and comprehensive benefits including 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, and vision insurance.
