The Senior Meeting & Event Planner role at DaVita is a critical position within the internal meetings and events team reporting directly to a Meetings & Events Manager. This position requires a highly organized and experienced professional who can independently lead areas of large-scale corporate event planning from conception through execution and post-event activities. This role involves strategic project management and ownership of complex event logistics with great attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders and vendors. The candidate will serve as a key contributor to DaVita’s signature internal meetings and events, ensuring these occasions align perfectly with company objectives and deliver a seamless, high-quality experience for all attendees.
Key responsibilities include managing the entire lifecycle of event projects—handling budgeting, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and the coordination of all event logistical components such as registration sites, food and beverage, audio-visual setups, scheduling, and event materials. The role also demands proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate and address potential challenges, develop service recovery plans, and continuously enhance event execution standards. This position requires about 10% travel and occasional weekend work to provide on-site leadership during events. Strong proficiency in registration software, especially Cvent, is essential along with superior communication skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree and have three to four years of experience in event planning or coordination, with a proven capacity to manage multiple large-scale events simultaneously. Certification such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) is considered a plus but is not mandatory.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of event planning/coordination experience required with experience managing multiple large-scale events
- Experience with registration software required
- Cvent experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to independently lead event workstreams from planning through reconciliation
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced continuously evolving environment and collaborate in a team setting
- Exceptional attention to detail organization and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Teams
