The Barback role at Pizza Bar is a key part of the bar team, offering support behind the scenes to ensure smooth and efficient bar operations. A Barback is responsible for various preparatory and maintenance tasks including refilling ice bins, restocking beer and liquor supplies, and cutting garnishes to keep the bar running seamlessly. They also change empty kegs in the keg room, which involves moving heavy kegs, and help maintain cleanliness by promptly addressing spills and emptying trash cans. In addition, the Barback organizes bar and drinkware, clears and cleans the bar area in a timely manner, and juggles multiple responsibilities simultaneously. This role requires excellent communication as the Barback interacts frequently with co-workers, supervisors, and guests, providing courteous and polite service. Completing all assigned side work efficiently is also a critical part of the job.
