The position available is Vice President (VP) of Development, based in a hybrid work model at Din Tai Fung's corporate office in Arcadia, California. Offering an annual salary of $230,000 to $270,000, this leadership role is central to Din Tai Fung's expansion strategy across North America. The VP of Development will be responsible for overseeing every facet of new restaurant development, ensuring that each new location upholds the brand's high standards for design, operational efficiency, and guest experience excellence. This role requires strategic vision and meticulous execution to deliver projects on schedule and within budget, enhancing Din Tai Fung's presence regionally. Key responsibilities include directing architecture and design collaboration, managing construction and vendor relationships, and administering lease agreements while maintaining a multi-year growth roadmap. This position not only demands expertise in development but also calls for a deep passion for quality craftsmanship and brand consistency, aligned with Din Tai Fung's mission to inspire cultural appreciation through dining. The role involves frequent collaboration with operations, finance, real estate, and brand teams to support the business's overarching goals. Candidates must bring significant leadership experience in restaurant or retail development, a comprehensive understanding of construction and permitting processes, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Travel up to 25% is expected to support new restaurant openings.                 - 10+ years of experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality development, including A&D and construction oversight
 - proven success delivering multi-unit development pipelines at scale (3–10 units per year)
 - strong experience managing external vendors (architects, GCs, engineers) and internal teams
 - deep understanding of permitting, entitlements, construction schedules, and budgets
 - excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
 - passion for detail, brand experience, and craftsmanship in physical space
 - bachelor’s degree required
