The Senior Leisure Sales Manager at Terranea Resort plays a vital role in driving the resort’s leisure sales efforts and strategic growth. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders such as travel advisors, agency owners, consortia program managers, and industry influencers. The manager focuses on multiple market segments including Retail, Consortia, Wholesale/FIT, and emerging digital sales channels such as online travel agencies and private auction platforms. This role requires a dynamic, hands-on approach with an on-property presence to engage directly with clients and VIP guests, conduct property tours, and oversee the guest experience.
The Senior Leisure Sales Manager must be adept at identifying business growth opportunities and expanding market share and revenue performance. They will represent Terranea at high-profile industry events including conferences, trade shows, and luxury gatherings while also leveraging strong communication and presentation skills to influence large groups both in-person and virtually. A critical aspect of this role involves extensive travel to domestic and international markets to cultivate relationships and secure new business.
In addition to sales responsibilities, the manager works cross-functionally with departments such as Accounting, Front Desk, Concierge, and Housekeeping to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction. Operational excellence and strategic account management are key components of this position, along with coaching and developing the leisure sales team. The Senior Leisure Sales Manager also utilizes in-house reporting tools for performance analysis and decision-making, consistently aligning sales initiatives with operational capabilities to exceed guest expectations.
This full-time salaried position offers a competitive annual base pay range of $95,000 to $115,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a pre-tax flexible benefit plan, paid time off, sick leave, and a 401(k) plan with company match. - College graduate or equivalent industry experience
- minimum 5 years of progressive experience in luxury leisure sales, with a demonstrated track record of cultivating high-value client relationships, leading strategic sales initiatives, and consistently exceeding revenue targets across key market segments such as Consortia, Wholesale/FIT, and Luxury Retail at a 4 or 5 star property
- maintain a professional appearance in accordance with resort standards to uphold the brand image and guest expectations
- must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- experience with Opera PMS and Agency360 is desirable
