The position of Catering and/or Suite Runner at accesso ShoWare Center is a crucial role within the catering department, designed to support the seamless service of food and beverage to suites and various catering locations throughout the venue. This part-time, hourly position offers a pay rate of $16.91 and reports directly to the Assistant Director as well as the Director of Food and Beverage Manager, ensuring adherence to high standards of service. The role requires a flexible schedule as individuals must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the event-driven nature of the facility.
As a Catering and/or Suite Runner, the successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders as prepared by the kitchen to suite and catering locations. Their duties are integral to maintaining the quality and integrity of the catering service, verifying that the food matches suite receipts and catering contracts precisely. The role involves collaboration with Suite Attendants and Caterers to sustain cleanliness and efficiency in food delivery throughout events. Additionally, the position requires carrying out opening and closing duties assigned by supervisory staff, underscoring the importance of teamwork and attention to detail.
The role demands compliance with all company and state guidelines, especially concerning the responsible pouring of beverages, highlighting the venue's commitment to safety and regulatory standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential, as well as the physical capability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly. Additionally, individuals applying for this role must possess current and valid food handler's and mixology permits, be at least 18 years old, and able to pass a rigorous background and credit check.
