The Event Manager role at CDS is a full-time position responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators who present products to club members. This position demands a strategic and hands-on leader capable of managing multiple facets of event execution including product preparation, demonstration quality, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. The Event Manager is the pivotal link between warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators, ensuring seamless communication and teamwork to guarantee event success. Additionally, this role includes participating in grand openings of new retail locations, enhancing CDS brand presence and event execution from the outset.
The role offers a scheduled workweek from Tuesday to Saturday, typically 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, although hours may shift based on operational needs. The successful Event Manager will possess the ability to exercise independent judgment, coach and develop employees effectively, and adapt to the fast-paced retail event environment. This position often requires physical stamina, as duties involve standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varied temperature conditions including refrigerated spaces. Travel and driving to different store locations are also part of the job requirements.
