As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Chef by preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and production standards, ensuring timely completion of all kitchen tasks. You will also manage and supervise hourly food service associates, handling responsibilities such as interviewing, training, scheduling, payroll oversight, and performance reviews. Maintaining impeccable food safety and sanitation standards is critical, including proper food storage, handling, portion control, and temperature maintenance to deliver excellent culinary products. This role demands a hands-on leader capable of maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, upholding company policies and compliance with state and federal regulations. Furthermore, you will engage with customers to address any complaints in a cordial and service-oriented manner, ensuring guest satisfaction while relaying relevant feedback to supervisors. The Sous Chef is also responsible for overseeing inventory management, tracking product usage, monitoring waste, and coordinating with supervisors to ensure supply levels are adequate.
