This is a full-time, in-person position offering a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000. The Sous Chef role is a pivotal position within our kitchen hierarchy, directly supporting the Executive Chef in managing a team of culinary professionals. This role demands a leader who is not only passionate about culinary arts but also adept at fostering teamwork and maintaining rigorous standards of food quality and safety. The Sous Chef will assist in planning menu items, food preparation, presentation, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes and cooking techniques. They will also manage inventory control to reduce waste and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and profitably. Additionally, the Sous Chef will collaborate with various departments, including dietary services, to accommodate special dietary needs, ensuring an inclusive dining experience for all guests. 
This position requires a hands-on approach to leadership, including training and guiding kitchen staff while effectively managing kitchen schedules and workflow. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and a commitment to upholding food safety regulations and sanitation standards.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - Prior experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar kitchen management role
 - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
 - Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff
 - Strong communication skills
 - Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
 - Physical ability to handle kitchen environment demands
 - Willingness to relocate or commute to Kansas City MO 64112
 - Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
