The Housekeeper role at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of McAllen plays an essential part in maintaining the facility's high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. This position is responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping tasks that contribute to a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment for both residents and staff. The housekeeper works under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor and is integral to supporting the positive atmosphere of the center. Duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing floors, as well as cleaning and dusting furniture, closets, and vents. The housekeeper also sanitizes sinks, counters, and stainless steel surfaces while managing waste receptacles and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste in accordance with OSHA standards.
Additionally, the housekeeper is tasked with keeping paper supplies stocked, washing windows and walls when necessary, and returning cleaning supplies and equipment to designated areas daily. This role requires attention to detail and consistency in completing cleaning tasks to ensure the facility remains orderly and appealing.
