We are actively seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team as a cornerstone of our kitchen operations. The Chef de Partie will play a critical role in directing food preparation activities, collaborating closely with the executive chef to ensure both the quality and design of every plate leaving the kitchen. This full-time position demands a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a keen eye for detail in food production and presentation. The ideal candidate will effectively oversee kitchen staff, contribute to menu development and inventory management, and ensure adherence to food safety regulations and organizational standards.
The role of Chef de Partie involves managing day-to-day cooking duties while maintaining high-quality standards across all culinary outputs. Beyond food preparation, the position includes leadership responsibilities such as training new employees, scheduling, and monitoring kitchen equipment to guarantee efficient operation. The Chef de Partie will also assist in ordering supplies by working with the purchasing manager and executive chef to maintain inventory control, minimize waste, and manage labor costs effectively. Maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment that complies with hygiene protocols is essential.
To succeed in this role, the candidate must have a minimum of two years experience in a similar capacity, possess a valid Food Handler Card, and demonstrate proficiency in managing kitchen operations, budgeting, and staff supervision. Formal culinary training is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
