We are currently seeking full-time Sous Chef candidates to join our dynamic campus food service team at FAU. This role is integral to supporting the Executive Chef in the preparation and cooking of high-quality food items and managing kitchen operations during their absence. The Sous Chef will directly coordinate activities of cooks and other food-service associates to maintain an efficient and smooth kitchen workflow. The position requires a full-time commitment with a Sunday through Thursday schedule, potentially with variable hours. Scheduled pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour. Candidates must have proven supervisory and kitchen experience and must be ready for immediate hire.

Customer interaction is another key aspect of this role; the Sous Chef addresses customer complaints in a service-oriented manner and communicates relevant information to supervisors. They also demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of daily menu items, accurately explaining them to both customers and associates. Monitoring inventory, product deliveries, and waste levels forms a part of their operational responsibilities to maintain cost efficiency and ensure adequate stock levels.
