The role of Sous Chef at MBK Senior Living's vibrant community, The Bellettini, offers an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team known as Senior Living Warriors. This full-time position focuses on leading culinary operations to ensure every meal served contributes to an environment of warmth, comfort, and exceptional quality for the residents. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef and the entire dining services team to prepare nutritious and appetizing meals that meet residents' dietary requirements and preferences, aligning closely with MBK's signature programs in dining, wellness, and care. The Sous Chef responsibilities include preparing food according to planned menus and recipes, supervising kitchen staff, participating in menu planning with a focus on nutrition, seasonal preferences, and budget constraints, and ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards. The role requires the ability to manage inventory and purchasing tasks, conduct quality assurance of meals, and support special event food preparations. Work hours run from Friday to Monday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, offering a consistent schedule with competitive pay ranging from $28 to $32 per hour, depending on experience.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Age over 18 years
- Background clearance as required by government regulations
- Retain a current food handlers permit
- Minimum of two years' experience cooking
- Negative TB test results
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak, write and read English
- Ability to operate computer, necessary software programs (word, email, excel), scanners, copiers, and fax machines
- Ability to be professional at all times with other team members, residents, family members, and visitors
- Must be able to lift and push 50lbs
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout day and throughout community
