The role of Sous Chef at Compass Group USA is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated military dining team serving those who serve our country. The position comes with an annual salary range of $55,000 to $57,500 and involves significant responsibility in delivering outstanding culinary experiences that honor the men and women dedicated to protecting freedom. The Sous Chef acts as a vital support figure within the culinary operations, assisting in the planning, preparation, and execution of food programs in alignment with client expectations and health regulations. The role requires a deep understanding of culinary arts, food safety, quality control, and back-of-house operations. The Sous Chef will also lead and develop kitchen teams, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - 2 to 5 years of culinary experience
 - Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations
 - Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safety regulations
 - Ability to assist in menu planning and cost control
 - Ability to lead and train kitchen staff
 - ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred
 - Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office
