As a Sous Chef, you will leverage your expertise in managing a full-service kitchen to consistently deliver culinary excellence and memorable guest experiences. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and General Manager to coordinate daily operations including line-ups, cleaning, cooking, and setting up the line. Creativity is central to this role as you assist in developing innovative culinary menus, incorporate craft beer pairings into food designs particularly for seasonal and special beer releases, and support private event menu planning. The position involves leadership responsibilities such as supervising back-of-house staff, overseeing training and hiring processes aimed at fostering a strong work ethic and positive culture, managing restaurant opening and closing procedures, taking ownership of inventory and supply management, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations. You will also play a key role in maintaining the restaurant’s safety standards by monitoring hazard control points and advising staff on sanitary food handling practices in accordance with county health guidelines. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of two years’ experience in the restaurant industry along with Serve Safe certification. A genuine passion for craft beer and a desire to integrate beer in creative culinary ways are highly valued. Effective communication skills are essential to collaborate efficiently with management and team members across kitchen and dining areas.
