The role of Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef at American Social is a critical leadership position responsible for managing the culinary team to ensure top-quality, attractive, and delicious food preparation that meets the brand’s high standards. This position requires overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including training and development, enforcement of safety and sanitation protocols, recipe adherence, inventory management, and command of prep lists. The Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef acts as a brand ambassador, exemplifying a positive and professional image, maintaining a patient and encouraging attitude, and inspiring the team through a strong work ethic and pride in their craft. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, General Manager, and Front of House managers, the Kitchen Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence and driving continuous improvement within the culinary department. This role demands excellent communication skills, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of up to 75 culinary professionals. Candidates must be committed to upholding company standards and policies, contributing ideas to enhance sales and brand reputation, and maintaining thorough knowledge of food safety regulations such as HACCP. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet service demands.  - Serv Safe certification
