We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Skyline. This role offers a competitive wage of $24 to $31 per hour, depending on experience, with a consistent schedule of Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 7pm. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Sous Chef will play a crucial role in ensuring the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our residents. This includes conducting regular quality assurance audits to maintain high standards of food preparation and kitchen organization while ensuring strict compliance with King County and Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) food safety regulations.
The Sous Chef will take leadership responsibilities such as hiring, orienting, training, and evaluating kitchen staff, as well as maintaining professional relationships with food and equipment vendors. This position requires a collaborative and motivational leadership style to foster a creative and problem-solving environment among the kitchen team. The ability to step in as the Executive Chef when required highlights the importance of this role within the culinary operations.                 - Experience as a chef or kitchen manager in a senior living community is a plus
