ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, dedicated to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. Since its founding in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients with annual revenues nearing $8 billion and a workforce exceeding 100,000 team members across more than 350 offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other global locations. ABM's comprehensive offerings include janitorial services, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscape and turf management, and mission-critical solutions. The company serves diverse industries such as commercial office buildings, airports, hospitals, universities, data centers, manufacturing and distribution facilities, entertainment venues, and various other sectors. ABM prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer, supporting diversity and inclusion, and welcoming veterans and individuals with disabilities. The company also participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to ensure legal work eligibility. The Supervisor position is a critical leadership role within ABM’s shuttle bus operations contracted for a major client. This role involves full ownership and oversight of the contracted shuttle services, which are essential to the client’s flight operations and pilot group transportation. Operating primarily Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional flexibility for off-hours and weekend shifts, this supervisor will lead approximately 32 ABM employees, including frontline operational supervisors and drivers. The role demands exceptional customer service skills and the ability to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, sometimes complex environment. Key responsibilities include managing and leading a unionized workforce under the Teamsters Local 89 Collective Bargaining Agreement, developing and implementing nightly operational plans, coaching and training personnel, and fostering a strong safety culture to ensure the safety, service, and security of the client’s personnel. The supervisor will work closely with the client liaisons, the ABM account manager, and the general manager to maintain high standards, resolve operational issues, handle employee relations and grievances, and ensure compliance with ABM policies and contractual obligations. This position is also accountable for managing resources such as the vehicle fleet, equipment, and communication tools like radios and iPads to guarantee smooth daily operations. Effective communication, problem-solving, and rapport-building abilities are essential, as the supervisor will be responsible for responding to client concerns, investigating accidents and complaints, and presenting reports and updates in meetings. The supervisor must demonstrate composure in stressful situations, manage employee expectations, and uphold a service-oriented environment while enforcing company policies. Overall, this role offers an opportunity to have a significant positive impact on both the client operations and ABM’s reputation as a quality service provider. Compensation for this role starts at $28.50 per hour, with actual pay varying based on experience, skills, and geographic location. The shift schedule supports work-life balance with Monday to Thursday working hours. ABM also offers a comprehensive benefits package starting in 2025, which supports employees’ well-being and professional growth. Ideal candidates will bring a combination of strong leadership, operational knowledge, union experience, and customer service orientation to the position, contributing to ABM’s mission of delivering exceptional facility services that matter most.
