The current opportunity is for a Service Porter to join the Kendall Auto Mall Team within their busy Service Department. This department is known for its fast-paced environment and dedication to supporting all Kendall dealerships in The Treasure Valley. The Service Porter is a vital part of the reconditioning process, ensuring that vehicles are moved and delivered to the correct dealership locations in a timely and professional manner. Key responsibilities of the Service Porter include frequently moving and parking vehicles, transporting them to other Kendall locations within the Treasure Valley, and occasionally assisting with obtaining vehicle information and managing repair orders. Additionally, they perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as washing exteriors, vacuuming interiors, and completing janitorial duties to keep the service drive clean and presentable. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in a shop environment and requires standing or walking for up to 75% of the shift, along with bending, twisting, and kneeling as needed.
This role demands physical stamina as lifting is occasionally required, with weights ranging from 20 pounds to, at times, up to 50 pounds. Given the nature of the work environment, Service Porters must be comfortable operating a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans, and hybrid models. The ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is essential.
