This role is located at a picturesque riverside conference center set against the scenic backdrop of the Hudson River, within the Croton Bay area, boasting convenient proximity to New York City and surrounding metropolitan areas. This historic and idyllic setting features 248 well-appointed guestrooms, over 70,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and event space, three food and beverage outlets, and more than 62 acres of trails and recreational facilities. The environment fosters a sense of community and connection, perfect for guests gathering for education, corporate training, professional achievements, and wellness activities.
The position offers the opportunity to contribute to an enjoyable dining experience by efficiently taking and delivering food and beverage orders while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities include promptly greeting guests, advising on menu items and combinations, accommodating dietary preferences, ensuring accurate communication with kitchen staff, and adhering to food safety standards. A high level of interpersonal skill is vital, including effective communication with guests and co-workers, patience, flexibility, and confidentiality. The role demands attention to detail in order setup, sanitation, and guest satisfaction, as well as teamwork for special events and functions. Shift hours are primarily from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with occasional requirements for earlier shifts, weekends, and holidays. The compensation for this position is $22.00 per hour, reflecting qualifications and experience, offering a rewarding opportunity for those eager to grow within the hospitality industry at a premier location.
