Currently hiring for the 2026 cruising season, American Cruise Lines is seeking Servers to join their shipboard hotel and restaurant teams. This role involves providing exemplary hospitality and service to guests during their dining experience on board the ships. Servers play a critical role in creating an elegant and memorable dining atmosphere, representing the brand with pride and professionalism throughout the 28 weeks of the temporary assignment. As a Server on American Cruise Lines vessels, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down dining spaces for various meals and cocktail hours, ensuring all tables are beautifully arranged with linens, silverware, china, and glassware. The role demands attention to detail and catering to all culinary requests efficiently and courteously. Servers are expected to personally acknowledge guests, escort them to their tables, present menus, make expert recommendations, and answer any questions about menu items. Precision is key as Servers relay orders accurately to the galley and serve food and beverages with care, making sure each course is presented in an attractive and appetizing manner. Beyond routine restaurant duties, Servers may also greet guests upon embarkation, serve afternoon teas and snacks, or assist with catering for evening entertainment events on board. This position provides excellent hospitality experience, serving as a solid foundation for future career growth within the cruise or hospitality industries. Wages range from $1,000 to $1,400 per week with additional bonuses, and since major living expenses such as room, board, uniforms, and travel are covered, employees have a significant opportunity to save earnings. Working onboard American Cruise Lines requires stamina and dedication, as shifts may be up to 12 hours long, 7 days a week, throughout the contract period.
