The Server must be an enthusiastic and convincing salesperson who understands the importance of timing and customer sensitivity, continuously observing diners to guarantee their satisfaction with the food and service provided. They will be responsible for responding promptly to guest requests and determining when meals have been completed. Additionally, the role may include assisting server assistants with tasks such as stocking, removing and resetting dishes and silverware between courses, and cleaning and resetting tables after guests leave. The Server must adhere to all legal requirements, including being of legal age to serve alcohol according to state laws, and must be capable of performing basic mathematical calculations as required for handling payments and processing orders. Physical demands include the ability to stand and move quickly for up to six hours and perform actions like bending, kneeling, and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds. Knowledgeable use of POS systems, accurate cash handling, and effective teamwork are also critical components of this position. Being thoroughly familiar with the restaurant’s steps of service, specials, menu items, and assigned stations is essential. The Server must work cooperatively with all staff members to maintain clean and stocked areas according to the restaurant's standards at all times. At the start of each shift, the Server obtains necessary information about specials, side work, and assigned duties from management. Throughout the shift, they maintain running side work tasks and complete closing side work as assigned. Handling guest payments, processing credit card transactions, and making change when necessary are also part of the job's responsibilities. The Server may be assigned other related duties by management as needed. • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to state laws
