For the 2026 cruising season, American Cruise Lines is hiring Servers to join their shipboard hotel and restaurant teams. These temporary positions last for approximately 28 weeks, during which employees deliver exemplary hospitality and represent the company’s values of optimism, commitment, patriotism, and merit. Servers play a critical role in ensuring guests receive an elegant and memorable dining experience onboard. This role is tailored for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic environment and who possess a passion for guest service.
As a Server with American Cruise Lines, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down meal services including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hours. You will handle table arrangements including linens, silverware, china, and glassware with keen attention to detail. The position also involves taking dining orders, accommodating special culinary requests, and making menu and wine suggestions to guests in a professional and courteous manner. Efficient communication with the galley to relay orders and ensure the accurate and aesthetically pleasing presentation of courses is a core responsibility.
In addition to traditional restaurant tasks, Servers may be asked to engage with guests during embarkation, serve afternoon teas and snacks, and support evening entertainment catering. The role requires physical stamina, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure. American Cruise Lines covers major living expenses during the contract period including room and board, uniforms, travel to and from the vessel, and paid training, providing an exceptional opportunity to earn wages ranging from $1,000 to $1,400 weekly, plus bonuses.

- At least high school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness and ability to work minimum 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking
- Pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- Prohibit alcohol consumption while onboard
