This opportunity is for a dedicated Import Operations Agent role responsible for greeting and assisting customers, managing documentation, and ensuring seamless communication for import operations. The position focuses on preparing and processing flight and shipment documents, coordinating with brokers and freight forwarders, and supporting customers in retrieving their freight and relevant paperwork. The role demands an individual capable of handling various administrative tasks including verifying TSA mandatory screening, confirming dangerous goods compliance, and updating airline systems with shipment information. Responsibilities also cover flight manifest preparation, post-flight inventory verification, answering inquiries via phone and email, and maintaining strict security regulations as mandated by airport authorities.
The Import Operations Agent must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role demands physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure moderate to loud noise environments, as well as standing for long periods. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including shifts, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime, is required. The role is critical in maintaining the operational flow and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced airport environment.
