As a Security Officer at Springboard Hospitality, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at the Hilton Saint Louis Frontenac hotel located in Saint Louis, MO. This position involves conducting routine patrols of the property to ensure the security of guests, staff, and hotel assets. The role is service-oriented, requiring the officer to perform protective and enforcement duties in a professional, courteous, and restrained manner. Beyond security patrols, the officer is expected to respond effectively to emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, and various threats to life and property, thereby upholding a safety-first approach throughout the hotel.
Your day-to-day responsibilities would include patrolling both the interior and exterior areas of the hotel on foot, monitoring the parking lots, hallways, and public spaces. You will utilize communication tools such as two-way radios and pagers to coordinate effectively during shifts. The role also includes administrative tasks such as preparing detailed routine logs and incident reports, and notifying management as needed. In addition to security tasks, you will have responsibilities like assisting guests with luggage, escorting them to parking areas, and even performing housekeeping duties when necessary during overnight shifts. The Security Officer also supports the Night Auditor and takes on maintenance call assistance, demonstrating the multifaceted nature of this position within the hotel.
Also integral to the role is extensive knowledge of hotel layout, emergency procedures, and safety systems including life safety equipment, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, and alarm stations. The position demands a high level of physical activity, involving walking, climbing stairs, bending, and occasional lifting of heavy loads, such as guest luggage, with shifts comprising up to 40 hours per week. The Security Officer is expected to maintain professionalism and integrity, providing exceptional guest service while ensuring compliance with hotel safety protocols and company policies.                 - High school education or equivalent
 - One year or more experience in related position
 - Valid California driver’s license and ability to drive stick shift
 - Guard card preferred
 - CPR/First Aid certified preferred
 - Ability to communicate in English
 - Knowledge of guest services and hotel operations
 - Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
 - Physical fitness for continuous walking, standing, bending and lifting
 - Ability to work 40 hours per week with variable shift schedules
