Within this esteemed organization, the role of Simulator Second in Command (SIC) is critical to ensuring effective training sessions for pilots undergoing recurrent, initial, or generic training courses. This role is designed for experienced pilots who will serve as a competent Second-in-Command during simulator sessions, particularly when clients have come to training without a flying partner. The SIC focuses on maintaining currency in assigned programs and supports internal and external Customer Pilots by acting as a reliable second pilot in multi-crew aircraft simulations. Crucially, the SIC does not perform instructional duties but ensures smooth simulator operations and adherence to FlightSafety International's Quality Management Systems. The position requires maintaining all necessary certificates, ratings, and authorizations required for the specific program assignments.
The Simulator Second in Command must demonstrate excellent cockpit communication skills, interact professionally with customers, and adapt quickly to changing schedules and high-pressure environments. - High school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency (G.E.D.)
- Two to three years of related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience
- Possession of Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate ratings prior to SIC duties
- Minimum of 450 flight hours
- Fluency in English, able to speak, understand, read, and write
