The role of a Ground Service Agent at United Ground Express is a physically demanding, essential position that involves a variety of tasks aimed at preparing aircraft for departure and arrival. Ground Service Agents are responsible for safely lifting, loading, and unloading baggage and cargo, sometimes handling more than 100 items per flight. They operate ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts to facilitate smooth aircraft operations. Additionally, they assist in cleaning the interior of the aircraft and servicing aircraft lavatories, ensuring each flight is ready for passengers. Communication skills are vital as the position requires frequent use of radio electronic devices to coordinate with co-workers and flight crews.
