The Service Leader role at Chipotle offers a unique opportunity to be a pivotal part of the restaurant's operation by ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food quality, and supporting the training and development of the crew. The position involves hands-on engagement with the food preparation line, guaranteeing the safe and quality preparation and delivery of Chipotle's menu offerings. Service Leaders are expected to maintain clean and well-organized workstations with functioning equipment while actively participating in daily restaurant activities unless on scheduled breaks. This role requires proactive involvement in assessing and executing additional tasks during quieter periods to support the overall restaurant performance. A Service Leader's responsibilities extend beyond food preparation to include upholding Chipotle's rigorous food safety standards, which encompass monitoring hand washing, glove changes, time and temperature controls on the line, and adherence to the Daily Food Safety Checklist. The role also includes addressing any food quality or customer issues to ensure a consistently positive dining experience. Service Leaders have a leadership role in managing staff schedules, breaks, and shift meetings, as well as training and developing front-of-house crew members. As part of their leadership duties, they assist in crew performance reviews and help cultivate future Service Leaders, fostering career growth within the organization. This position also includes administrative responsibilities such as handling cash and banking policies, managing office paperwork, and ensuring office and supply equipment are maintained and stocked adequately. Service Leaders embody Chipotle’s core philosophy of Food With Integrity and must demonstrate knowledge and compliance with food safety regulations and company procedures. Chipotle offers competitive compensation ranging from $22.85 to $25.44 per hour, supplemented by digital tips.
