The Restaurant Manager position at El Pollo Loco plays a critical role in driving the success of the individual restaurant by overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. With a compensation range of $20.00 to $27.00 per hour, the role offers a competitive wage based on several factors including experience, education, location, and hours worked, with opportunities for overtime pay. The manager reports directly to the District Manager and is responsible not only for meeting sales and profit goals but also ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction through efficient and exemplary service. This role requires leadership over the entire restaurant team, including assistant managers and hourly crew members, ensuring all employees are well-trained, motivated, and performing to company standards. Responsibilities encompass managing daily operations, maintaining food and safety standards according to the El Pollo Loco Operations Manual, handling inventory control, and enforcing cash handling procedures. The Restaurant Manager is also tasked with compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations, fostering a positive and diverse work environment, and supporting the recruitment, interviewing, and development of team members. Besides operational oversight, the manager will engage in financial analysis to identify business needs and take corrective action to maintain profitability. Candidates for this position should possess at least one year of management experience within the hospitality sector, display strong communication skills, and be capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. Physical demands include enduring long periods of standing, exposure to kitchen environments, and performing tasks that require mobility and flexibility.
