This job opportunity is presented by a reputable hotel known for its commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high hospitality standards. As a key part of the hotel industry, this establishment focuses on delivering comfortable and immaculate accommodations to its patrons. The hotel employs a range of dedicated personnel to uphold the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall aesthetic appeal of the environment, ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant and memorable stay. The work environment is dynamic, engaging, and designed to foster teamwork and personal growth within the hospitality sector. The role of the Room Attendant is an essential position within the hotel's housekeeping team. This full-time position requires an individual who is meticulous, dependable, and customer-service oriented. A Room Attendant's primary responsibility is to ensure that assigned guest rooms are impeccably cleaned, stocked, and maintained to the hotel's exacting standards. Beyond the guest rooms, this role extends to ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all public spaces throughout the hotel, such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and other areas accessed by guests and staff alike. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly and responding promptly to their queries. You'll be tasked with making beds, replenishing in-room supplies like drinking glasses, water, coffee, writing utensils, and bathroom amenities. The duties further include cleaning a variety of surfaces and fabrics using appropriate equipment and cleaners—this ranges from dusting furniture, polishing metal fixtures, vacuuming carpets and draperies, to washing walls, ceilings, and windows. Maintaining the overall tidiness also involves emptying wastebaskets, cleaning ashtrays, replacing light bulbs, and handling linens effectively from soiled collection to proper laundering and storage. Room Attendants are also expected to operate laundry machines to wash, dry, and sort linens and other washable articles, ensuring they are promptly returned to their designated storage areas. They must report any maintenance or technical issues encountered during their shift to the appropriate department, update the status of rooms to keep the team coordinated, and ensure cleaning carts are properly restocked and organized at shift end. Adherence to established housekeeping policies, procedures, and safety standards is critical at all times. This role requires consistent performance in repetitive tasks, a keen eye for detail, an ability to follow both oral and written instructions, and a proactive approach to managing guest requests and resolving minor complaints within the scope of responsibilities. Previous housekeeping or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory, making this position suitable for individuals seeking to start or further their careers in the hospitality industry. Educationally, a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month following hire, disability and life insurance, employee assistance programs, supplemental benefits, 401k matching, an employee discount program, as well as paid vacation and sick time. These benefits reflect the establishment's commitment to supporting its staff's well-being and professional development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a thriving hotel team and contribute to delivering outstanding guest experiences in a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.
