The role of Sales Executive at this hotel is integral to achieving and exceeding the company’s revenue targets. The primary responsibility of the Sales Executive is to stimulate hotel revenues through expert sales strategies and relationship management. You will be tasked with soliciting and managing market segments, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining existing client relationships to drive group and transit business. A significant aspect of this role is dedicating approximately 80 percent of your time to proactive direct client solicitation, which includes telemarketing, outside sales calls, and participating in trade shows to maximize sales potential.
This position demands a high level of interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of negotiation techniques, and the ability to influence prospective clients positively. The Sales Executive will also be responsible for conducting site inspections, preparing proposals, coordinating pre- and post-event meetings, and collaborating closely with the catering and reservations departments to ensure contract compliance. Weekly activities such as maintaining accurate sales records, attending sales meetings, and participating in industry and community organizations are vital parts of this role.
Your work schedule will be demanding, requiring 50 plus hours per week with flexible shifts that may include weekends and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. Travel is also required to key feeder markets, trade shows, and sales trips. - High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of hotel sales experience
- Ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and/or hotel guests
- Strong customer service skills and proper telephone etiquette
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work more than 50 hours per week with flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to travel as required
- Proficient with sales and customer relationship management systems
- Ability to maintain accurate records and submit reports timely
