The Sales Manager role at the Rhode Island Convention Center reports directly to the Assistant General Manager or Director of Sales and is instrumental in driving the venue’s sales initiatives. The position focuses on managing the sales activities at the venue, handling bookings ranging from long-term arrangements to short-term events, trade shows, consumer fairs, and local functions. The Sales Manager is responsible for servicing and contracting both prospective and confirmed clients, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to event planning teams. This role plays a fundamental part in achieving the venue's sales targets through strategic outreach, client relationship management, and meticulous contract preparation. The annual salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000, reflecting the importance and responsibility of the role within the organization.

                - BA degree in industry-related discipline preferred
 - at least 3-5 years of practical sales experience with events, hotel or convention center
