The Sales & Event Manager role at The Bohlin is integral to the venue's success in the social market. This position drives catering sales by proactively generating business through strategic outreach, referrals, local partnerships, and marketing initiatives. The manager is responsible for managing every stage of the client experience, from responding to inquiries and conducting site tours to developing customized proposals and menus tailored to each event’s unique needs. Building strong client relationships is essential, as it leads to repeat business, positive reviews, and referrals, which are critical to the venue's growth.
In this role, the Sales & Event Manager is expected to consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets while maintaining detailed and accurate records using CRM and event planning software such as Tripleseat and Social Tables. The position also involves regular forecasting, reporting, and staying ahead of social event trends, seasonal offerings, and guest experience enhancements. Participation in venue showcases and industry events is an opportunity to represent The Bohlin, enhancing its profile within the event planning community.
The successful candidate for this role is passionate, energetic, and naturally inclined to impress and please guests. A flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays is required to meet the high demands of the hospitality industry. With a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $62,000 plus commission, this position offers both financial reward and professional growth opportunities. - At least 4 years of experience in event coordination within the food, beverage, or hospitality industry
