Applicants who meet the requisites are eligible for an initial emergency employment period of up to 90 days, designed to evaluate performance with potential for permanent appointment based on successful assessment results. You will investigate accidents, interview witnesses, analyze safety records, and prepare detailed reports to help prevent future incidents. Additionally, you will participate in safety training, develop educational materials, and advise supervisors and staff on accident prevention and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will also engage with various department and county safety committees, support the preparation of safety manuals, and help implement new safety procedures or equipment requirements.
