The Detailer/Lot Porter hybrid role at Blue Compass RV is an essential position that blends two critical functions: vehicle detailing and lot management. This role offers the opportunity to work outdoors and stay active, contributing directly to the dealership’s overall presentation and operational efficiency. The Detailer/Lot Porter is responsible for ensuring every RV on the lot looks immaculate and is ready to create a positive impression on customers. This includes cleaning the RVs inside and out using various tools such as vacuums, power washers, and polishers. Training is provided for those who may not have prior experience, ensuring all team members can perform their duties to the company’s high standards. In addition to detailing, the lot porter responsibilities involve safely moving RVs using forklifts or tow vehicles, organizing the lot to maintain a neat and customer-friendly environment, and supporting service and sales teams with vehicle staging and event setups. The hybrid role requires proficiency in basic inspections to identify and flag any issues with the vehicles, further helping to prevent potential problems before they affect customers or the dealership’s operations. This position pays $19 per hour and requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, the ability to work outdoors and stand for prolonged periods, and a team-first attitude. Experience with forklift operation or handling large vehicles is preferred but not mandatory, as training is available.
