The Runner With-Driving role at HMSHost Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is a vital position responsible for facilitating the smooth movement of supplies, goods, and finished products within the airport’s food and beverage operations. This non-exempt position typically reports directly to the Warehouse Manager or General Manager, depending on local organizational structures. The core responsibility is to manage physical and clerical tasks related to shipment and reception of supplies, including verifying shipping records, ensuring correct packaging and labeling, unpacking goods, identifying damaged or expired products, and supporting inventory control through computer management systems. Key elements of the Runner With-Driving's job include providing excellent service to both internal and external customers by receiving, processing, and distributing merchandise accurately and efficiently. The role requires adherence to established delivery schedules and company policies, including stock rotation based on product code dates, maintaining storage fixtures and equipment, assisting with bin location upkeep, and ensuring the warehouse environment complies with safety standards like HACCP charts and walk-in cooler maintenance.
