The Event Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of duties including operational tasks such as truck unloading, merchandising, and maintaining store recovery standards, all designed to uphold the company’s brand promises. The Event Coordinator must skillfully handle multiple events simultaneously, engaging guests from young children to seniors by creating an immersive environment of creativity and joy. Responsibilities include demonstrating craft projects, performing face painting, managing party add-ons like goody bags and balloons, and maintaining clear communication with clients and store teams. The role also involves several administrative duties such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork. Flexibility to adjust plans based on client feedback and needs is crucial, as is preparedness with backup plans for unforeseen circumstances. Customer experience is central in this role; the coordinator helps customers locate products, explains benefits of the rewards program and private label credit cards, and supports omni-channel processes including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS). The position requires participation in stock processes, merchandise recovery and maintenance, and adherence to safety and shrink programs.
