We are currently offering an opportunity for a Part-Time AC-130J Academic/Simulator Contract Instructor (CI) Pilot. This position involves delivering formal academic instruction and simulator flight training to officers and enlisted personnel at various qualification levels, including initial, mission, requalification, instructor/AC/WSO upgrades, and key staff training. The role is crucial in preparing aircrew members to conduct close air support, air interdiction, and armed reconnaissance missions effectively and safely. The instructor will provide comprehensive training on emergency procedures, systems operations, instrument flying, and tactical operations tailored specifically to the AC-130J platform. The position also involves supporting the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process, ensuring that all courseware meets rigorous standards and is applied correctly throughout the training program. 
This role requires the successful candidate to become certified by the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) as an instructor, highlighting the importance of formal accreditation and professional development in this position. Candidates must be creative, responsive, and adaptive within a dynamic military training environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in team settings. A key aspect of this role is the ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing, to ensure comprehensive understanding and knowledge transfer. The position requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, offering flexible part-time scheduling to accommodate operational demands and instructor availability. Additionally, the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an active SECRET security clearance, underscoring the sensitive nature of the work and the need for strict adherence to security protocols.
                - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college
 - Must be available a minimum of 20 hours per week
 - Must be current as a pilot in the AC-130J within the previous two years or within the previous eight years with at least eight years of military operational flying duty and two years or 200 hours of experience as an in-flight instructor in AC-130J
 - Waivers possible for candidates with prior AC-130 experience or experience as an AC-130J contract instructor
 - Must be able to obtain an active SECRET clearance subject to government security investigation
 - Must meet eligibility requirements including US citizenship
