This role, based at the Palm Beach-Palm Beach Gardens, FL store, focuses heavily on event coordination and customer service within the store environment. The primary responsibility is to plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes, to ensure a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Candidates will manage multiple events simultaneously, interact with clients ranging from young children to seniors, and create a welcoming, creative atmosphere. Beyond event facilitation, the role involves active participation in daily store operations such as unloading deliveries, stocking merchandise, maintaining store standards, and providing excellent customer support throughout the shopping experience. The position emphasizes delivering fast, friendly checkout experiences and educating customers about the company’s rewards and credit card programs. Additionally, team members will handle administrative duties including client communications, scheduling adjustments, and the implementation of backup plans to address unforeseen issues during events. Maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the store and event spaces is paramount to uphold Michaels' brand promises and standards. To excel in this role, the candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
