The role of the Floor Associate at Goodwill is integral to the success of the retail operations. Working under the direct supervision of the Retail Manager, the Floor Associate is responsible for ensuring a seamless customer shopping experience by providing exceptional service and maintaining the presentation and stock of merchandise on the sales floor. This position is more than just a retail sales role—it is a key contributor to funding Goodwill's employment and training programs that directly assist individuals facing barriers to employment. The Floor Associate actively engages in multiple tasks, including operating the cash register, managing the appearance and organization of sales racks, and complying with safety and loss prevention policies. This role requires someone who is attentive, organized, and customer-focused, with the ability to multitask and handle responsibilities ranging from assisting customers to maintaining store cleanliness. The Floor Associate also supports learning within the team by mentoring and training co-workers and participates in staff meetings and training sessions. An essential part of the job is upholding Goodwill’s core values, including protecting the brand and demonstrating good judgment and discretion in the sale of donated goods. • Must be able to use a cash register, calculator, credit card processing machine correctly and make change accurately
