The role of a Cosmetic Sales Flex Colleague, also known as a Beauty Advisor Flex, is a pivotal position within Macy's beauty department. As a trusted beauty expert, you will be the go-to source for customers seeking advice, product knowledge, and personalized beauty consultations. This role is designed for individuals passionate about beauty products and the art of customer service. You will engage customers through expert advice, product demonstrations, makeup application, and skincare guidance, ensuring a personalized and inspiring shopping experience. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest beauty trends, products, and innovations is a key responsibility, enabling you to introduce and educate customers effectively. Building long-lasting relationships with clients is at the core of this position, involving proactive outreach, follow-up, and providing exceptional service to foster loyalty and repeat business. Your role will also encompass maintaining the beauty sales floor's appearance, ensuring it is organized and inviting. The position requires flexibility, with a minimum work requirement of 42 hours per quarter for the first three fiscal quarters and 60 hours in the fourth fiscal quarter. Flexibility in working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. Physically, the job involves standing for extended periods, lifting merchandise, and using technology like point-of-sale systems.
