The role of Restaurant Manager at BJ’s Restaurants is a critical position responsible for overseeing all operational functions during opening, mid-day, or closing shifts. As a manager, you will supervise, train, and develop the restaurant team to ensure a Gold Standard guest experience. The management role is classified as exempt, requiring the candidate to perform more than 50 percent managerial duties and exercise independent judgment in decisions affecting the restaurant's operations. Key responsibilities include managing hiring and termination recommendations, maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality, ensuring safety and sanitation regulations are met, and leading marketing and sales efforts locally. The Restaurant Manager also handles repair and maintenance, risk assessments, and audit processes. This position demands strong leadership skills to coach and mentor team members, foster a positive work culture, and drive excellent guest relations and recovery practices. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of full-service, high-volume casual dining restaurant management experience, a high degree of professionalism, and strong problem-solving ability. The position offers an annual salary range of $72,000 to $78,000 plus potential quarterly bonuses, commensurate with experience.
