The role available at BJ's Wholesale Club is that of a Team Member focused on checkout and membership services within the store. This position involves processing member purchases efficiently and courteously. Key responsibilities include verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products such as BJ's Loyalty programs and rewards redemption options. The role requires scanning merchandise, accepting a variety of payment methods including cash, check, and card, and ensuring accurate inventory tracking through point-of-sale systems. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness in the frontline department and assisting members with self-checkout operations are important aspects of the position. The Team Member serves as a vital link between the company and its members by ensuring a smooth, friendly, and productive checkout experience. This position requires an individual who can uphold club policies, support the club's visual and operational standards, and work collaboratively with fellow team members across departments when needed. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in cashier or retail roles preferred
• Ability to stand and move frequently on hard surfaces
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and occasionally with assistance more than 30 pounds
• Availability for full-time shifts with regular predictable attendance
• Ability to follow club policies and procedures
• Must be able to handle multiple payment methods accurately
