The position of Field Service Supervisor at Vertiv is a pivotal role that combines supervisory, technical, and administrative responsibilities within a service center environment primarily focused on electrical systems and apparatus. This role requires overseeing field service engineers and technicians, guiding field operations, and performing complex troubleshooting and testing on high-voltage electrical equipment. The Field Service Supervisor is instrumental in leading large-scale projects, such as generator acceptance tests and substation commissioning, ensuring all work meets the highest industry standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and NFPA requirements. This role demands a strong technical background in power quality surveys, ANSI, NEMA, U.L. specifications, and advanced electrical testing methods. The successful candidate will be adept at crisis management, project estimating, proposal preparation, scheduling, reporting, and billing with an emphasis on accuracy and timely communication. Client interaction and business development are also important facets of the role, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex projects with a balance of technical expertise and business acumen. Vertiv’s Field Service Supervisor must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts, with substantial travel (up to 50%) including out-of-town and international assignments. Physical demands include lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, climbing, and working in extreme weather conditions without effective protection. Candidates must pass a drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check prior to employment, meeting Vertiv’s safety standards.   • Graduate Engineer BSEE or BSME and six years’ experience
  • Or graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or military equivalent and nine years minimum same or similar work experience
  • Or high school education or equivalent and ten years minimum same or similar work experience
  • NETA 3 Certification or equivalent experience
  • Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and night work
  • Must be available for out-of-town and international travel up to several weeks
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successfully pass a drug test prior to employment
  • Complete and pass a pre-employment background check and a motor vehicle records check
