The Divisional Safety Manager role at ESFM is a crucial leadership position dedicated to driving safety-related initiatives within a specific division. This remote position, based in Wayne, PA or Charlotte, NC, offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 with bonus opportunities and the chance to contribute to a thriving corporate culture focused on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the National Director, EHS, and with dotted line reporting to the Division Vice President, the Divisional Safety Manager plays a strategic role in enforcing uniform safety standards across the sector while fostering a proactive learning safety culture. The responsibilities include overseeing safety leadership, developing and refining safety programs, policies, and procedures, and standardizing safety protocols across multiple accounts to ensure consistency. This manager acts as the primary safety resource for division operations and leadership, helping to build a robust safety culture that aligns with regulatory requirements such as OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPA standards. A core focus includes managing a team of safety professionals, recruiting, training, and driving accountability to enhance safety performance across the division. The role demands strong incident response capabilities, including leading investigations, reviewing corrective actions, and reporting safety data to senior leadership. Another essential aspect of this position involves training and engagement, supporting division safety training efforts, promoting hazard identification, and encouraging safe behavior among employees. The Divisional Safety Manager also leads safety committees and spearheads safety improvement initiatives, collaborating closely with other divisions and organizational safety experts to support sector-wide safety projects. Travel up to 25% is required, offering a dynamic and varied work environment. Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related fields, with a preference for candidates holding certifications like CSP or ASP.
