Hosting is vital to the guest experience as hosts are the first and last points of contact for all patrons, meaning their attitude and efficiency directly impact the overall impression Guests have of the restaurant. The position involves greeting and seating guests promptly with genuine care and attention to their needs, multitasking between guests, table management systems, handling phone inquiries, and coordinating reservations. Hosts are expected to monitor the dining floor to assess seating and flow, maintain a clean and welcoming waiting area, keep menu presentations tidy, and may occasionally assist with to-go order placements and packaging. Beyond guest interaction, hosts assist with side work duties such as wiping down tables, restocking supplies, and rolling silverware to maintain smooth restaurant operations. This role requires a positive, professional demeanor, excellent verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to sustain the restaurant's family-friendly atmosphere. This position is part-time with the potential of up to 40 hours weekly based on the restaurant's needs.
