The Ballpark Event Services Lead position is a temporary, part-time role designed to support the operations of Spring Training game day events and other events held at Goodyear Ballpark and the Recreational Complex. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth event execution by overseeing and coordinating various operational areas such as ticket taking, transportation, guest services, ushering, and cleaning. As a lead, the individual will supervise a team comprised of Event Services staff and volunteers, organizing their activities to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for attendees.
This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced event environment. The Ballpark Event Services Lead is responsible for setting up and tearing down event facilities, managing breaks for staff and volunteers, and maintaining open communication before, during, and after events to ensure operational effectiveness. Additionally, the lead will address and resolve minor customer issues, enforce safety policies, and participate in pre- and post-event meetings, including reporting on any incidents. 
The City of Goodyear seeks candidates who possess excellent customer service and communication skills, a positive and friendly demeanour, and a willingness to assist across various ballpark operational areas. Employment dates for this temporary position are from February 2026 through March 2026, with interviews scheduled for November 2025. Communication regarding application status will be performed via email, emphasizing the importance of monitoring junk or spam folders for messages from a system-generated source.
