The Recreation Facility Operations Programmer position plays an essential role in the daily management and operation of the East Lawrence Recreation Center. Reporting to the Recreation Facility Operations Supervisor, this role is responsible for a wide range of duties that are pivotal to the smooth functioning of the facility. The Recreation Facility Operations Programmer will oversee facility operations, manage and schedule part-time staff, and ensure adherence to customer service and safety standards. This includes cash handling, daily deposits, organizing staff trainings, and maintaining compliance with established policies. In addition to operational responsibilities, this position involves active participation in program development and event coordination. The Recreation Facility Operations Programmer will contribute to creating and managing existing recreational programs, special events, and day camps aimed at enriching community engagement. Managing registrations, memberships, and promoting sponsorship opportunities at the facility also fall under this role’s scope. The position offers the chance to assist with event center scheduling and marketing initiatives, providing valuable exposure and experience in event management and community relations. As a key liaison between the facility and its patrons, the Recreation Facility Operations Programmer must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
