The Receptionist role at Life Care serves as a crucial gateway to the facility, acting as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers. This position involves performing clerical support functions efficiently while managing interpersonal communications in a friendly and professional manner. Receptionists are responsible for greeting guests and visitors, handling phone systems, and providing excellent customer service. This role demands proficiency in clerical software such as Microsoft Word and Excel as well as strong email communication skills. Beyond administrative capabilities, the receptionist must understand and implement the policies, goals, and procedures of the department and the greater organization. They must uphold patient rights, safety standards, sanitation practices, and confidentiality of proprietary information.   • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of secretarial science program from accredited college or university OR minimum six months experience in a clerical role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action
  • Knowledge of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
  • Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, policies, and procedures
